 How to remove an old account and add a new account in Outlook Express Minimize

If Outlook Express has an existing email account that you no longer wish to use and you would like to set it up to use a new account, you must do the following:

  • Open Outlook Express
    • To open Outlook Express, click on the Start Menu in the bottom left corner of your screen to popup the Menu.
    • Click on Programs to popup open the programs menu
    • Locate Outlook Express and click to open Outlook Express.  If the Internet Wizard starts then Outlook has never been configured with a mail account and you need to go to setting up Outlook for the first time

  • Select Tools from the Menu and from the Tools drop down menu select Accounts.

  • From Internet Accounts select the Mail Tab at the top to move to the Mail Accounts.

 

 

 

  • You will see one or more mail accounts.  Select each one by clicking to highlight and then click on the remove button to the right to remove each account.  If you just have one account marked default, then you select it and remove it.  In the below example we have only one which is named mail.arkansasusa.com, so you would select it and clock on remove.

  •  Now that there are no mail accounts, click on the add button to the top right and select mail from the pop over list.  This will start the Internet Wizard.  Click here to go to the new account Internet Wizard page.
