How to Configure Outlook Express for Icebox Minimize

Our Icebox Anti SPAM Device has the ability to farm from your outgoing emails, the email addresses you are sending to and automatically add those addresses to your Icebox Contact List.  The reason this is a good is when you send an email to someone that isn't in your Icebox Contact List, if that person replies to your email, they will get an SAV (Sender Address Verification) email back.  If you configure your Outlook or Outlook Express to send through Icebox, this will prevent this from occuring.

Open your Outlook Express

Go to the Menu and select Tools, when it drops down, select Accounts

A box will pop open, select the Mail tab located at the top of the box

This will take you to your default mail account, click on the Properties Button to the right

This will open a new box, select the Servers tab located at the top of the box

In the Outgoing (SMTP) server box remove mail.arkansasusa.com and enter smpt-out.arkansasusa.com

Put a Check in "My server requies authentication"

Some ISPs block port 25.  If you travel with this computer or you use another ISP to connect to the Internet, click on the Advanced tab and change the SMTP port from 25 to 2525.  This will allow you to get around port 25 sending blocks that some ISPs use.

Click on Ok and close and your Outlook Express is setup to send all outgoing email through Icebox allowing it to add the addresses you send to, to your Icebox Contact Lists.
